Usage reconciliation
Location: Controllo operativo → Consumi in verifica. Roles: Netter administrator and authorized billing operator.
Why a reservation remains open
Credit is reserved before upstream dispatch. If transport breaks after dispatch or final counters are absent, the provider may have processed the request. Usage remains uncertain and the reservation is not automatically released as free usage.
A timeout, closed stream or incomplete upstream response does not prove there was no cost.
Reconcile against evidence
- Identify request, date, reserved amount and any provider request identifier.
- Check provider evidence for outcome and actual cost.
- Select Riconcilia.
- Enter Costo upstream effettivo in EUR and Riferimento dell’evidenza provider.
- Consider cost absorption only under an explicit authorized accounting decision.
- Confirm and check reservation state and wallet settlement.
The upstream cost entered differs from the customer charge, which follows the configured markup. Cost absorption is an explicit recorded decision rather than a generic way to clear errors.
Final checks
Confirm the expected reservation state, consistent available balance and authorized operation records. If evidence is insufficient, keep the case open and complete provider verification.
Do not directly edit balances, reservations or the PostgreSQL journal. Allocation transfers, top-up reversals and usage reconciliation are different operations with separate workflows.
For an uncredited customer payment, use Payment verification.
